The Guggenheim Museum Bilbao and the hotel Riscal in Alava arrive in Beijing with Frank Gehry. The Chinese capital hosts a retrospective of the American architect, which exhibits, among others, his works in the Basque Country south : The Guggenheim Museum Bilbao and the Hotel Marqués de Riscal in Alava. More concretely, the exhibition presents a scale model of the building in Bilbao, as well as several sketches on the construction of the Guggenheim Museum.
drawings, models, photographs, 3D animations and interactive videos are part of the exhibition that runs through all the basic aspects of the 40-year trajectory of the architect.
Frank Gehry, who won the Pritzker Prize in architecture in 1989, is considered one of the most innovative architects in recent years for his ideas on space and curvilinear shapes adopted in most of his works.
